The formerly CHIMERA, and newly called HEARTS project, founded by the European Union, aims at providing high-energy heavy ion beams to the space community for radiation testing of electronics. At CERN, it will be implemented by extracting the heavy ion beam from the PS, using the existing T8 tranfer line and sending the beam to the CHARM facility in the East Area, where the existing infrastructures can be used for electronics testing. A number of aspects must be optimised or put in place to achieve this; two of them will be discussed in this meeting.
For more information about the project, please visit the HEARTS website: https://hearts-project.eu
NOTE: Please note that access to the CCC is needed to join the meeting room. If you don't have it, but want to join in person ping us to let you in.
