The Green Finance Research Advances is an International Research Conference for academics and professionals, co-organized by Banque de France and Institut Louis Bachelier, with the participation of Institut de la Finance Durable and the Institute for Climate Economics-I4CE.
We invite academics, regulators and professionals to submit research papers for the 9th edition of the conference, which will take place in Paris and online on December 11th-12th, 2024. The conference will feature keynote presentations, contributed talks and a poster session.
The special emphasis of this year’s edition will be on transition and adaptation finance and in particular on metrics, data, models and assessment tools specifically designed to evaluate and enhance the efficacy of transition and adaptation finance.
We welcome the submission of research papers on the following and other relevant topics:
- Innovative financing for climate adaptation: investigating new financing mechanisms to support climate adaptation efforts;
- Climate and nature risk and uncertainty assessment in financial systems: studying how climate change (physical and transition) and nature risks could impact financial stability including effects on asset prices and insurance costs;
- Green finance and sustainable investment: exploring the growth and effectiveness of green finance instruments, such as green bonds and sustainable loans and their role in promoting environmentally sustainable investments;
- Net zero scenarios, transition plans, assessment of investment and financing needs and green reindustrialization;
- Insurance products for the climate transition;
- Ex post evaluations of regulatory, fiscal and financial policy frameworks in the transition to decarbonized economies;
- Data sets, text mining, metrics and data processing methodologies related to the above topics.
Complete papers in PDF format should be submitted electronically, in English, by September 13, 2024, through this website.
The results of the selection procedure will be announced by mid-October 2024.
