The THAI-KATRIN School on Neutrino Physics aims at bringing together young scientists from South East Asia with experts in the field of neutrino physics. The school will be held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand on 13 - 17 May 2024, jointly by Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), Chulalongkorn University (CU) and Karlsruhe Tritium Neutrino Experiment (KATRIN), Germany.
Lectures will cover the following topics:
- Basic knowledge of neutrino
- Introduction to KATRIN experiment
- Sterile neutrino
- Detector simulation for KATRIN
- Magnetic field measurement
- Experimental methods for data analysis
The targets of the school are young faculty/researcher, postgraduates and senior undergraduates who are working on or interested in neutrino physics and related areas. The school is open to the world with emphasis on ASEAN nations.
