Introductory astrostatistics, visualization and ML tools school for the PhD students from the MWGaiaDN network. The school is also open to a limited number of participants from outside the network.

The school programme consists of:

• Lectures on:
  • statistical analysis and interpretation of astronomical data
  • machine learning (supervised and unsupervised) tools and data mining for astronomy
  • data visualisation tools
• Tutorials on using Gaia data with the presented tools 
• One day dedicated to short scientific projects with expert help available.

Participants should make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. There is no registration fee for this school. MWGaiaDN covers the costs for the venue and also for the catering (lunches, coffee/tea, social dinner) throughout the event.
