People are the key to successful software. The HSF-India project aims to promote the development of international research software collaborations. This is the 9th in a series of workshops for software and data analysis skills essential for doing research software in physics. Our curriculum builds upon the successful series of workshops.
This workshop covers
- Scientific Python
- Basics of machine learning
- Detector simulation and physics generators
- Software of the Belle-II experiment
This event is organized primarily for PhD students and masters students from the surrounding region. However, anyone is welcome to attend.
The dates of this workshop are 5 to 9 January 2026. Registration is not yet open. We anticipate a registration deadline of November 1, 2025. We will update this page with more information once ready for registration to start.
We expect to accommodate about 50 students from Chennai and the surrounding region. Feel free to contact us in case of questions. In the case that we can not accept all applications, preference will be given to PhD students from the surrounding region who are engaged in programs for high-energy physics, nuclear physics, astroparticle physics and data science pursuits.
